Webcasting Information

In order to provide wider access to meetings of the Minnesota Governor's Council on Geographic Information, the council has begun to use webcasting technology at full council meetings.

Please let us know whether you find this service useful or whether you have suggestions on how to make it more effective. Be aware that technological problems are always a possibility and the council holds no responsibility for failed broadcasts or connections.

Instructions for Viewing a Meeting in Real-Time

To view a meeting live on your computer using free "Real Player" software, go to:  http://stream1.video.state.mn.us:8080/ramgen/encoder/GCGI.rm during the meeting time.

Meeting dates and times are published on the Governor's Council homepage and on its Calendar (access the calendar via the left-hand navigation bar on any council webpage).

Instructions for Viewing a Meeting Afterward

To view meetings that have already occurred, click on the link beside the meeting date (the link will be different for each meeting). You will need to have free "Real Player" software installed on your computer. See the agenda for topics covered at the meeting.
